Design Program Manager

Spectrum Reach | August 2019 - Current  | Denver, CO

  • Responsible for managing design operations and planning, coordinating, and delivering on human-centered design projects for 5 business-to-business products and 1 business-to-consumer product in an Agile environment operating on 3 cadences. Managing daily stand-ups, grooming, retros, sprints, and quarterly program increment planning rituals. Building team awareness and habits in Lean UX practices.

  • Improved overall process by implementing a Dual-Track Agile process (SAFe) in a complex ecosystem to account for UX research in 2-week design sprints that resulted in a more user-centered, data informed product lifecycle culture and increased support for UX research amongst executive stakeholders. Strategic decision-making supported with user research resulted in 30 million dollars of increased revenue.

  • Champions Dual-Track in multi-stakeholder planning meetings driving commitments and setting and communicating expectations to business stakeholder and development partners. Develop roadmaps that align research with business strategies and goals, and stakeholders with UX vision.

  • Representing the voice of the customer in close collaboration with development, deployment, and intake teams to bridge gaps between design direction, technical limitations, budget constraints, and business demands in the creation of product roadmaps.

  • Creating and administering surveys and conducting stakeholder interviews in accordance with the user-centered design process. Translating data into actionable insights and working closely with designers to ensure designs are data informed. Design leadership has led to increased SUS scores across applications by an average of 10%.

  • Design UXR readout documents to ensure consistency and clarity of all research coming from the team, leading a better understand among stakeholders of the value and purpose of UX research.

  • Developed a pointing system to measure team velocity, communicate capacity, and allocate resources. Increased team output by 20% by identifying opportunities to streamline inefficiencies, prioritize and reprioritized with changing commitments.

  • Coordinated all pre-departure travel logistics for 14 students including visa applications, cultural awareness, financial questions and travel overview.

Women's Regional Network | August 2017 - August 2018 | Remote

  • Managed a remote team in South Asia to publish communication materials include Quarterly and Annual Reports, social media posts, a blog, grant reports and conference materials. 

  • Designed and managed strategic editorial campaigns to engage targeted audiences and exceeded set goals for online engagements including comments, retweets, downloads, etc.

INSTITUTE FACULTY + RESEARCHER (Contract)

Inclusive Global Leadership Initiative | June 2016 - August 2017 | Denver, CO

  • Conducted empirical research measuring women’s participation in mass non-violent movement internationally. Analyzed findings and created findings report for the Institute to support its mission in elevating the work of women-identified activists.

  • Facilitated workshop session with 16 international women activists and conceptualized a knowledge base on strategies and tactics based on participant experiences on non-violent activism.
